How CIPP Pipe Lining Creates a New Interior Wall
CIPP pipe lining uses a flexible liner saturated with epoxy resin. We insert it through available access points and cure it with hot water, steam, or ultraviolet light to form a smooth, jointless wall inside the existing pipe.
Depending on the inspection findings, this method may be suitable for clay sewer pipe, cast iron pipe, PVC, and concrete pipe. The existing route, connections, access points, grade, and structural condition all affect whether the line can support a liner.
From Camera Inspection to Final Verification
We plan each stage around the condition and configuration of the line. Access, preparation requirements, and the selected curing method can affect the project scope and drain-use instructions.
Our CIPP installation process includes:
- Video Inspection: We inspect the sewer line with a camera to identify the location, type, and severity of the damage.
- Pipe Cleaning: We use hydro jetting to remove grease, debris, and root material that could interfere with liner placement.
- Liner Installation: We position the resin-saturated liner through existing access points and cure it into a smooth interior pipe wall.
- Final Verification: We complete another camera pass to examine the installed liner before considering the work complete.
When No-Dig Pipe Repair Isn’t the Right Fit
Sewer line lining requires enough of the existing pipe’s shape and structure to support the liner. A severe collapse, major grade problem, inaccessible section, or pronounced belly may call for a different repair method.
Pipe Bursting
Pipe bursting replaces the existing pipe with a new one along the same route. We may recommend this alternative when the old line has collapsed, is severely bellied, or can’t support an interior liner.
Open-Trench Excavation
Open-trench excavation provides direct access to the damaged pipe. When this approach is necessary, we explain the access requirements and surface-restoration scope before you decide how to proceed.
We use the camera findings, pipe geometry, connections, and route conditions to compare the viable repair and replacement options. We can explain the scope and cost of each option before making a recommendation.
Planning for Saratoga Permit Requirements
The City of Saratoga Building Division administers building permits and provides online permit applications and project tracking. Requirements can vary with the location and scope of the plumbing work, so homeowners should confirm which rules apply to their project.
Find the Right Repair for Your Sewer Line
